Who is Meister Abrasives?

We were established in 1951 in Andelfingen Switzerland with manufacturing subsidiaries in the UK and USA. Meister Abrasives USA was established in 1988 and in 1996 began manufacturing in Worcester Massachusetts. In 2000, the company built a new state-of-the-art manfacturing facility in North Kingstown Rhode Island in order to expand its manufactured range to include all Meister Superabrasive products.

Today, we can proudly say that the majority of the products we sell are "made in the USA" while maintaining the highest standards of "Swiss Precision".

Position Overview: 
To work as a member of a highly skilled production team, with responsibility for CNC grinding, machining, and inspection of Meister's precision abrasive tools.  This work will be completed under established procedures and supervision.

List of Duties
·         Setup, programming, and operation of both CNC and manual grinding machines
·         Assembly, gluing, and marking of large external grinding wheels
·         Quality inspection
·         Machining of steel and aluminum wheel bases and shanks
·         Tool maintenance
·         Preventative maintenance of assigned machinery

Requirements for Prospective Candidates
·         Ability to comprehend / retain detailed written or verbal instructions from production paperwork
·         Good memory and understanding of production procedures
·         20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses
·         Cleanliness and attention to detail while handling & assembling small parts
·         Endurance in repetitive work
·         Ability to understand drawings or blueprints
·         Standing or sitting for long periods of time
