Position Overview: To work as a member of a highly skilled production team, with responsibility for pressing and firing of Meister’s sintered abrasive products. The Press Operator will set up and operate presses and produce a broad range of abrasive products. This work will be completed under established procedures and supervision.
List of Duties · Setup and operation of Hydraulic presses · Setup and operation of precision dosing system & balances · Loading pressed parts into kilns · Unloading kilns after completed firing cycle · Preparing fired parts for quality inspection · Press tool maintenance · Weekly preventative maintenance of presses & assigned machinery
Requirements for Prospective Candidates · Ability to comprehend / retain detailed written or verbal instructions from production paperwork · Good memory and understanding of production procedures · 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses · Cleanliness and attention to detail while handling & assembling small parts · Endurance in repetitive work · Standing or sitting for long periods of time
