Diamond Dressing Discs

Rotary Diamond Discs are the standard choice for dressing external CBN and Diamond grinding wheels.  They are available in four bonding types.

Electroplated Bond: This manufacturing process deposits a single layer of diamond onto a steel body.  The resulting tool has a very sharp dressing action, but wears quickly requiring more frequent replacement.

Metal Bond: Metal bond is the most common dressing tool bonding on the market today. It is durable and performs well on both CBN and Diamond wheels.

Vitrified Bond (vDD): A relatively new development pioneered by Meister; This technology produces a dressing tool that is extremely free cutting, more so than plated or metal bond, and is ideally suited to applications where a very sharp grinding wheel surface is needed. Wear rate is slightly higher than metal bond.

Hybrid Bond (hDD): This new product, exclusive to Meister, combines the free-cutting structure of vitrified bond with the durability of metal bond. This next-generation product is the most versitile and high performing dressing bond available on the market today.
